“Ugh. What am I supposed to post?  I don’t know what to write.  I don’t have any ideas.  I’ll just surf the Internet for ten more minutes while I brainstorm ideas…”

Do you ever feel like that? Whether you’re just starting out or are a well-established blogger, it’s challenging at any level to maintain consistent social media content.  The past few weeks, we’ve talked about finding the right target market, providing value, and engaging with fans so now it’s time to discuss how to get over your writer’s block and provide content with value.

Here are a few ideas to help inspire you and make sure that your content rocks:

1. What have you done since your last update?

Humanize your message by connecting with your fanbase on a personal level. Perhaps share a funny anecdote about your workday or express your opinion on a topic. Let them know who you are, and you’ll establish a strong brand personality to which people can relate.

2. What projects are you currently working on?

Use your posts to generate buzz for new products that you plan to roll out or upcoming services that you plan to offer. Your clients will feed off of the excitement you build and will be ready and waiting along side you for the big release.

3. Give your followers a glimpse inside your process.

Your audience wants insight into your success. What works for you? Establish credibility by using your day-to-day activities as examples to model.

4. Engage with your fans.

Do they have any recommendations or suggestions for you?Do they have stories similar to your mission that they can share? Perhaps conduct a quick poll and take the pulse of your readers. Who are you reaching?

Finally, express your brand messaging through links to books, movies, articles, etc. that share the same vision/mission as your business. Link to an interview with someone in your field that you admire, or to a profile of a company with similar values.
